Aroma Restaurant in Rome center is a terrace restaurant with an amazing Colosseum view.

During the days of Imperial Rome they built some of the city’s most majestic monuments including four barracks for gladiators close to the Colosseum, where the hotel stands today. 

The remains of the largest of these, the 'Ludus Magnus' which was the ancient gymnasium, were discovered in 1937 between the Via Labicana and the Via San Giovanni in Laterano.
